Is UV Curing Environmentally Friendly?
Unlike solvent-based coatings,
UV coatings are made up of 100% solids. There are no solvents
or VOCs
released into
the atmosphere during the curing process. UV finishes cure
with exposure to ultraviolet energy, and all of the coating
remains
on the
substrate. There is no post-cure vapor, and once cured the
substance is completely inert.
